by Barry Herem
Oceana Pascoli is named for Duane Pasco, another pillar of Northwest Coast art. The halves of this butterfly resemble breaching whales.
This work is part of the Bright Wings series, a tropical cache of five four-color fanciful butterflies with invented Latin names in honor of outstanding contemporary Northwest Coast formline artists.
